Simplified Data Entry Instructions
The housing provider data entry instructions posted to the Minnesota HMIS website in March 2020 were last updated in July of that same year. Recognizing that those instructions were overdue for a refresh, and leveraging learnings acquired from our users in the intervening years, the sprawling 25-page PDF document has been replaced by five concise Knowledge Base articles:
- Request a Housing Referral
- Acknowledge a Housing Referral
- Resolve a Housing Referral
- Record a Housing Outcome
- Correct a Housing Referral Data Quality Issue
A New Data Quality Tool
The 294 CE Housing Provider Data Check report is a tool we’re really excited about. Prior to this report’s release, the primary way housing providers could check for data entry issues was to run the 258 CE Housing Referrals and 267 CE Housing Provider Audit reports, then manually try to identify missing or inaccurate data. With the 294 CE Housing Provider Data Check report, however, HMIS users have a tool dedicated to spotting potential problems.
Interested in exploring this new report? Take a look at the 294 CE Housing Provider Data Check Report Guide for instructions on how to run the report and correct any issues it identifies!
Updated Resources Page
Lastly, the Coordinated Entry page of the Minnesota HMIS website has been updated to remove retired resources and streamline the navigation experience. Changes have been applied to the assessor and Priority List Manager sections of that page as well.
